INTRODUCING

KAISYN & KAISYN KARES

Hi Everyone!

Anne here, owner of Nest & Canvas. I’m happy to introduce you to Kaisyn.

Kaisyn is 10 years old, loves animals, and is an art enthusiast! Animals and art have always been Kaisyn’s happy places and the two things that calm her down when life gets a little tough!

Kaisyn is one of my Private Students. She is an absolute joy to work with. She is kind, loving, talented, and extremely hard working. Kaisyn has also been diagnosed with Autism. She has challenges with anxiety, groups, noises, social settings, and some verbal communication. Clearly, I am just giving you the basics in the simplest of terms, but PLEASE read her story HERE. What is important is, Kaisyn does not want her Autism to define her, nor does she.

Kaisyn is working told three main goals right now, and I have been nothing be blessed to be one piece of her Journey. Outside of growing her skills and managing her Autism, Kaisyn wants to raise awareness about her experience. She wants others to be able to understand Autism through her eyes, as well as support other kids who have experienced the same obstacles she has. Her third goal is to raise enough money for a service dog. This would provide her with a loyal companion that would aid in managing her anxiety and promote her independence, among other things.

For Kaisyn, the idea started with a lemonade stand. Unfortunately, the weather turn cool as we moved into fall. When her amazing mom, Meredith told me about this, I was so touched and proud of Kaisyn and her desire to venture out on a fundraising journey on her own. I wanted to help Meredith foster Kaisyn’s ingenuity and self-sufficiency. This is how Kaisyn Kares was created. We are taking baby steps, but the energy is already rolling.

As part of her fundraising efforts, Kaisyn has made bracelets, keychains, watercolor paintings, and even handprinted Christmas Cards. All of her creations are for sale, and all of the proceeds go into a saving fund for her service dog. Our goal right now is $10,000, but once we reach it, Kaisyn plans to continue raising money for other kids with Autism who would benefit from their own Service Dog.

Kaisyn’s Cards and Painting are available for purchase for $25 each through Nest + Canvas as I work to assist Kaisyn and her Mother in establishing all of their needs for Kaisyn Kares.
